its not that i have no drive, i just don't feel compelled to drive towards some tasks, at least not at full-speed.. in particular: emptying the dishwasher, checking the mailbox, balancing my checkbook, budgeting in general, parallel parking, flossing (guilty), drinking a socially-acceptable amount on weekdays, ..drinking a socially-acceptable amount on weekends, attending more than 65% of scheduled classes and/or studying for my exams more than two days in advance.
what can i say? ive still managed to make it to my quarter life crisis in relatively decent shape, so who is really the loser here? yup.
in fact, i'll even venture to say, that more often than not, its the people that "have their shit together" who are the ones with the most stress.. the less you commit to in the first place, the less you have to actually follow thru!
i appreciate a world that has low expectations for me.. it can only result in either mild satisfaction or pleasant surprise; annnd you're welcome.
