you always hear about two year olds eating their snot and boogers.. but not til you've seen the travesty in real time can you truly appreciate the foulness. it was particularly mystical viewing the little angel chewing on her own mucus inside an ice cream parlor mid-christmas fantasy parade in the happiest place on earth.
its moments like that when i question my desire to procreate..
the only thing thad made the 45 minute line tolerable was the small child standing near me, quizzing her poor mother about life, love, and the birds & the bees..
its not that im at all looking forward to that conversation, but after hearing this little girl weigh her future career options (e.g., becoming a veterinarian - after vet school, of course), discuss her finances (e.g., the pros/cons of the original disneyland and the new hawaiian disney resort in Oahu) and ponder the inevitable fate of motherhood, i was able to gain a little perspective; the questions i have now are not only my questions, they are everybody's questions, and they always will be.

but then,i spend 8 hours on the dullest stretch of land in california and end up making a last minute errand at the only place worse than the DMV - the post office the week before christmas.
